filmmaker

Julianne Fox is a filmmaker and graduate of USC's School of Cinematic Arts. She is well-versed in many forms of storytelling, and enjoys the versatility of switching between music video, narrative, and commercial work. She is interested in telling grounded stories that connect to audiences through comedy, and enjoys blending serious situations with a humorous tone. She also likes long walks on the beach, long drives at night, and long meetings that end in her getting hired.
Her debut feature film NEVER BETTER was recently released by Freestyle Digital Media and is currently available on digital on-demand. It was selected as one of five projects out of over 350 script submissions to be produced by Wayfarer Studios in 2020, and she was mentored by director Nzingha Stewart (Director; TALL GIRL, Inventing Anna, Little Fires Everywhere). Julianne got her start in comedy, doing stand up and executive producing a comedy news show while at USC (The Breakdown, 2018-2020).
She has also spent a lot of time on set in the art department, in various roles from production design to styling to art direction. She enjoys building the aesthetic world of films, and brings that attention to visual design back into her directorial projects. Recently, she has led art departments on shoots for Nike and Facebook, and costume PA'ed on shows for Netflix and Hulu.
